Reiki & Health Disclaimer
Last updated: July 2026
This Reiki & Health Disclaimer explains the nature and limitations of the distance Reiki sessions offered by Cecilia Nord, and forms part of the agreement between you and us together with our Terms & Conditions.
By booking a session, you confirm that you have read and understood this disclaimer.
1. Reiki is a complementary practice
Reiki is offered as a complementary wellbeing practice intended to support rest, relaxation, and personal reflection.
Reiki is not:
- medical treatment
- psychological treatment or psychotherapy
- a diagnostic service
- a substitute for professional healthcare
- crisis support or emergency care
2. No medical claims
We do not claim that Reiki can diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any physical or mental health condition.
Any information shared during a session is not used to diagnose or treat a health condition, and should not be treated as medical advice.
3. Continue your existing care
If you are currently receiving medical or psychological treatment, you should continue that treatment as normal.
Booking a Reiki session is not a reason to delay, reduce, or stop:
- prescribed medication
- medical appointments
- psychological or psychiatric care
- any other professional treatment or advice
If you are experiencing a medical or psychological emergency, please contact your local emergency services or a qualified healthcare professional immediately. We are not able to provide emergency support.
4. Individual experience
People experience Reiki differently. You may feel warmth, calm, heaviness, emotion, tiredness, or no particular sensation at all.
We do not guarantee any specific physical, emotional, energetic, or spiritual outcome from a session.
5. Suitability
You are responsible for deciding whether a distance Reiki session is suitable for you.
If you have a serious physical or mental health condition, or are unsure whether Reiki is appropriate for your situation, we recommend speaking with a qualified healthcare professional before booking.
We reserve the right to decline a booking where we reasonably believe the service is not suitable, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
6. Information you choose to share
You are not required to share medical information in order to book or receive a session.
If you do choose to share information about your health or personal circumstances, please only share what feels necessary and relevant. Avoid sending detailed medical records, diagnoses, or highly sensitive information.
Further details on how information is handled are set out in our Privacy Policy.
7. Age and capacity
Sessions are intended for adults. Where a session for a minor is agreed, this requires the prior consent of a parent or legal guardian, in accordance with our Terms & Conditions.
By booking, you confirm that you are able to make an informed decision about receiving a Reiki session, or that appropriate consent has been obtained on your behalf.
8. Acknowledgement
By booking a session, you acknowledge that:
- you understand Reiki is a complementary practice and not a medical treatment
- you are not relying on Reiki as a substitute for necessary medical or psychological care
- you are choosing to receive the session voluntarily and at your own discretion
